I am very excited to announce my new book, Landscapes of Grace: Hiking, Faith and Finding Yourself in the Wild.
The work is currently in the final stages of editing and should be available everywhere before the beginning of summer.
I wrote, or outlined, most of Landscapes of Grace while hiking, sometimes close to where I live, and other times, far away in the Yellowstone Basin, the Great Smoky Mountains, or even in the Picos de Europa Mountains of northern Spain.
My aim in writing Landscapes is twofold:
One, to tell you some really good (I think) hiking stories drawn from my years of tramping through various landscapes, especially wild places.
Two, to persuade you of the necessity of wandering around outside, as the path, an essential path, to finding your purpose here on earth.
Please sign up for my Written Updates (see the bottom of the Home Page) to find out more about when and how to get your copy of Landscapes of Grace.

I am so excited to see this piece come to life, and even more elated to see the work you’ve put into seeing it through! I know readers will be deeply blessed by your writing, wisdom, and the grace you portray at the heart of hiking and the wild. Congratulations!
Ky,
Thank you so much!

You’re really good at setting others on their path. I’m curious about how this book might inform the way you’ve developed such life skills.
Hillary,
Thank you for the comment and question. Yes, I do talk about how and why I fell in love with wilderness in the book, and how I learned to be very comfortable outside.
Cheers-
JG
